Ross McCall
Ross McCall, born on January 13, 1976, in Port Glasgow, Scotland, is a distinguished Scottish actor best recognized for his portrayal of Cpl. Joseph Liebgott in the acclaimed 2001 HBO miniseries, Band of Brothers. His acting career took off at the young age of 13, when he was cast as Freddie Mercury in the promotional video for Queen's 1989 hit “The Miracle,” a role he secured from a competitive selection process.
In 1993, McCall featured in the beloved BBC children's series, The Return of the Borrowers. He gained further recognition in 2005 with his role in the independent film Green Street, and later portrayed Kenny Battaglia in the Starz series Crash. He returned to his character Dave in the direct-to-video sequel, Green Street 2: Stand Your Ground, in 2009. His filmography includes a role in the 2008 horror film Autopsy, as part of the After Dark Horrorfest.
Raised in a Roman Catholic household, McCall was engaged to actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, with whom he shared screen time in an episode of Ghost Whisperer. Their engagement ended in late 2008, as reported by People Magazine. A passionate supporter of Celtic F.C., McCall trained at Redroofs Theatre School in Maidenhead. He made guest appearances on popular shows like White Collar, where he portrayed Matthew Keller, and Luther. In July 2010, he began filming the feature film The Guest Room at Sunset Gower Studios in Los Angeles.
