Nathan Buckley
Nathan Buckley, born on July 26, 1972, in the Northern Territory of Australia, is a prominent figure in Australian rules football. His illustrious career began when he joined the Brisbane Bears in 1993, where he quickly made a name for himself as a talented midfielder. After a successful stint with the Bears, Buckley made a significant move to the Collingwood Football Club in 1994, where he became a celebrated captain and one of the team's all-time greats.
Over his playing career, which spanned until 2010, Buckley earned numerous accolades, including the Brownlow Medal in 2003, recognizing him as the league's best and fairest player. He also garnered multiple All-Australian selections and was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame in 2013, further solidifying his legacy in the sport.
