Amanda Babaei Vieira
Born in Hildesheim to parents hailing from Rio de Janeiro and Sari, Iran, Amanda Babaei Vieira is a multifaceted actor and artist now based in Hamburg. Her stage presence has graced prominent venues including the Volksbühne Berlin, Maxim Gorki Theater, Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Wiener Festwochen, Kampnagel, and the New European Theatre Festival in Saint Petersburg.
On screen, she is set to star in the upcoming feature film *Identitti* and previously landed her first international lead role in the Canadian production *Maya & Samar*. As a co-founder of the theatre collective SV Szlachta, she has been crafting provocative action art performances since 2018. Her writing credits include several plays, most recently with the feminist collective Glossy Pain.
A defining creative partnership connects her with the celebrated art group SIGNA, whose work earned a Nestroy Prize and an invitation to the prestigious Theatertreffen. In 2024, she was honored with the Ulrich Wildgruber Prize. Adding a dash of ephemeral flair, she once fronted a drag band called The Nana Jamón Experience.
