David Easteal

David Easteal, born in 1986 in Australia, is an accomplished filmmaker based in Melbourne. He pursued his education in law and literature at the University of Melbourne, where he developed a unique perspective that informs his storytelling. In addition to his filmmaking career, Easteal works as a barrister at the Victorian Bar, showcasing his diverse talents.

Easteal's short films have gained recognition on the international stage, with screenings at prestigious festivals such as New York, BFI London, Chicago, Kiev Molodist, Sofia, and Singapore. His creative contributions earned him the title of Emerging Australian Filmmaker at the Melbourne International Film Festival in 2015, highlighting his potential in the industry.

His debut feature film, The Plains, has received critical acclaim and support, winning the Films en Cours post-production award at the Belfort International Film Festival Entrevues.
