Mark Waid

Mark Waid, born on March 21, 1962, is a prominent American comic book writer celebrated for his contributions to both DC and Marvel Comics. He is particularly recognized for his groundbreaking narratives in titles such as DC's The Flash, the acclaimed miniseries Kingdom Come, and Superman: Birthright. Waid has also made significant impacts at Marvel, penning stories for Captain America, Fantastic Four, and Daredevil, showcasing his versatility across the comic book landscape.

In addition to his work with these major publishers, Waid has collaborated with various other companies, including Fantagraphics, Event Comics, Top Cow, Dynamite Entertainment, and Archie Comics, further expanding his creative reach and influence.

From August 2007 until December 2010, Waid held the position of Editor-in-Chief and later Chief Creative Officer at Boom! Studios, where he launched his original series Irredeemable and Incorruptible, both of which garnered critical acclaim and a dedicated following.

In October 2018, Waid took on the role of Director of Creative Development at Humanoids Publishing, and by February 2020, he was elevated to the position of Publisher, marking another significant step in his illustrious career.
