Chuck Daniel

Charles Edward Daniel, known as Chuck Daniel, was a professional baseball pitcher who made a brief appearance in Major League Baseball with the Detroit Tigers during the 1957 season. Born in Bluffton, Arkansas, Daniel stood tall at 6 feet 2 inches and weighed 195 pounds, showcasing his right-handed batting and throwing skills.

Daniel's time in the major leagues was short-lived but memorable; on September 21, 1957, he took to the mound against the Kansas City Athletics as a relief pitcher, stepping in for starter Jim Bunning. Over 2⅓ innings, he surrendered two runs and three hits, earning a 7.71 ERA while striking out two batters. Unfortunately, this outing marked his only appearance in the big leagues.

Beyond his baseball career, Daniel enjoyed a fulfilling family life. He was married to Rita Daniel and fathered three children: Robin Daniel, Denise Baker, and Thomas Daniel. His family tree continued to grow, as he became a grandfather to several grandchildren, including Jessica Christianson and Hunter Daniel, and a great-grandfather to Rita Christianson.

Chuck Daniel passed away at the age of 74 in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, leaving behind a legacy intertwined with both his brief baseball career and his cherished family.
