In 2003, Liu further solidified his standing in the field when he returned to the Wushu Sports Management Center under the Hebei Provincial Sports Bureau, earning the prestigious title of national master athlete.

In 2005, Liu showcased his versatility by competing in fencing at the Tenth Games, where he secured an impressive sixth place. This achievement highlighted his dedication and skill across multiple disciplines in the realm of sports.
