His artistic journey began at the tender age of five, as he immersed himself in musical theatre, honing his skills in drama, dance, and voice. By the age of twelve, Kent transitioned into film, and at sixteen, he made a significant mark with his award-winning short film "Presage," which ignited his passion for filmmaking. Following high school, he relocated to Toronto to pursue classical acting training at the esteemed George Brown Theatre School.

Throughout his prolific career, Kent appeared in more than forty theatrical productions and lent his talents to over twenty films and television shows. Among his notable achievements, he had the privilege of collaborating with renowned filmmakers such as Terry Gilliam, John N. Smith, and Jennifer Lynch.
