Mihiro, born Yamase Hiromi in Kashiwazaki City, Niigata Prefecture, has carved out a notable career in the Japanese entertainment industry. She first garnered attention as a gravure idol in 2001 and ventured into music with her debut single "SunFlower" in 2004. A year later, she made the transition into the adult video (AV) scene, which marked a significant turning point in her career.
In 2006, Mihiro expanded her horizon by stepping into mainstream acting with a role in the TV Tokyo drama "2nd House," alongside fellow gravure idol Sayaka Isoyama. Her charisma and talent quickly made her a sought-after figure, leading to numerous appearances on television variety shows and commercials. She even became part of the short-lived adult video star group, Man-zoku Divas. By 2007, she secured a recurring role on the TV Asahi series "Tissue."
Mihiro's filmography includes the 2008 movie "Cruel Restaurant," a unique blend of comedy, cooking, and adult themes. In 2009, she published her autobiography "Nude," which candidly explored her life, including her entry into the adult film industry. The book was adapted into a film in 2010. Although she retired from adult films that same year, she remained active in entertainment, showcasing her versatility.
In a personal milestone, Mihiro married stuntman Shimokawa Shinya on her birthday in 2015, after three years of dating, further endearing her to fans. Her multifaceted career continues to resonate in Japan's entertainment landscape.
