Jenna Lee Dewan, born on December 3, 1980, is a talented American actress and dancer. She began her professional journey as a backup dancer for the iconic Janet Jackson, later collaborating with renowned artists such as Christina Aguilera, Pink, and Missy Elliott. Dewan gained widespread recognition for her breakthrough role as Nora Clark in the 2006 hit film Step Up, which showcased her exceptional dancing abilities and led to a flourishing career in television and film.

Throughout her career, Dewan has appeared in a variety of notable television series, including a memorable role in the NBC drama The Playboy Club and a recurring character in FX’s American Horror Story: Asylum. She is well remembered for her portrayal of Freya Beauchamp on Lifetime's Witches of East End and for her roles as Lucy Lane in The CW's Supergirl and its spin-off Superman & Lois. Dewan was born in Hartford, Connecticut, to Nancy Bursch Smith and Darryll Dewan, a former running back for the 1972 Notre Dame football team. She grew up in Texas, where she was a standout cheerleader in high school, graduating from Grapevine High School in 1999, and went on to attend the University of Southern California.
