Christina Wren
Christina Wren is a talented writer and producer celebrated for her innovative storytelling and unique perspectives, most recently showcased in her comedy series, *Hicksters*. This engaging show centers on a spirited Hijabi woman and her metropolitan Black husband who unexpectedly inherit a farm in a politically charged region, leading to a series of comedic and heartfelt adventures. *Hicksters* was recognized as a finalist at the Sundance Lab, drawing inspiration from Christina's own upbringing as the daughter of a Middle Eastern father and an Iowan mother, navigating life in urban America.
As a co-founder of the production company Two Kids with a Camera, Christina has developed branded content for esteemed platforms such as Travel Channel, HGTV, PBS, and Discovery Digital. Among her notable achievements, she produced 80 live-action segments for the Emmy Award-winning children's series *Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood* and the feature films *Moon and Sun* and *Rehabilitation of the Hill*.
A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Christina honed her skills in playwriting and was part of NYU’s inaugural Hip Hop Theater course, contributing to the devised production, *Re/Rites*. Her early projects included a multimedia exploration of oral histories in Pittsburgh and the documentary *Streetball*, which followed South Africa’s teams in the 2008/2009 Homeless World Cup. Christina's first feature film, *Saudade?*, delves into the harrowing experiences of youth homelessness through the journey of a teenager seeking her missing brother in New York City.
