**Matthew Gouveia: A Multifaceted Talent in the Performing Arts**
Matthew Gouveia, a Dora-nominated actor hailing from Toronto, has made a significant mark across theatre, film, television, and voice work. He graduated with distinction from Humber College's Theatre Performance program in 2010, earning both the Dean’s and Board of Governor’s Awards. His career is highlighted by impactful endeavors, including a trip to Mozambique with Shakespeare Link Canada to advocate for HIV/AIDS awareness and collaborations with esteemed playwright Judith Thompson. Gouveia is celebrated for winning the Toronto Monologue SLAM Championship three times in a row and receiving a Dora Mavor Moore Award nomination for his role as Chris Smith in the 2016 production of *Killer Joe* at The Coal Mine Theatre.
In 2017, he completed the CBC Actors Conservatory at Norman Jewison’s Canadian Film Centre, where he developed the character Gabriel, showcased at a year-end event. He later returned as an adjudicator for auditions. Gouveia's television credits include appearances in *Star Trek: Short Treks*, *American Gods*, *Killjoys*, *Murdoch Mysteries*, and *Wayne*, along with his feature film debut in *CODE 8*, released in 2019.
