Dolores Camarillo
Dolores Sepulveda Camarillo (March 31, 1910 – February 8, 1988) was a renowned Mexican character actress, celebrated for her contributions to film, television, and theater. Known professionally as "Fraustita," a nickname derived from her marriage to fellow actor Antonio R. Frausto, she also made her mark as a skilled makeup artist in the film industry.
Camarillo, born into a family of actors, began her career as a makeup artist in the 1930s and later served as an instructor at the Andrés Soler Institute. Her acting journey commenced in 1915 with her performance in the play *La cara de Dios* (The Face of God). Over her extensive career, she appeared in an impressive 124 films between 1933 and 1986, showcasing her versatility across various genres.
One of her most memorable performances came in the beloved 1940 film *Ahí está el detalle*, starring the iconic Cantinflas, where she played the character "Paz" and received significant recognition in the cast. Additionally, she starred alongside Joaquín Pardavé in the Lebanese character comedies *El baisano Jalil* (1942) and *El barchante Neguib* (1946), further solidifying her status in Mexican cinema. Camarillo's legacy as a talented actress and makeup artist continues to resonate in the entertainment industry.
