Earl Pastko
Earl Pastko, born on December 10, 1965, in Chicago, is an accomplished American actor who relocated to Canada in 1985. He is a co-founder of the Remains Theater Company based in Chicago and has made significant contributions to the theater scene, collaborating with prominent directors such as Ken McDougall, Paul Bettis, Alexander Hausvater, Brian Quirt, Vikki Anderson, and Morris Panych. For his stage performances, he earned a Dora nomination for his role in La Ronde and a Jessie nomination for his work in The Ends of The Earth. Recently, Pastko portrayed Lars in The Company Theatre's production of Festen and took on the role of Alexander Stern in The Rant, staged by Chicago's Mary Arrcher Theatre Co.
In terms of film, Pastko is best recognized for his portrayal of Satan in Bruce McDonald's Highway 61, Hartley Otis in Atom Egoyan's The Sweet Hereafter, the artist in Jeremy Podeswa's Eclipse, and the hotel detective in David Weaver's Century Hotel. He has also collaborated with notable filmmakers including George A. Romero on Land of the Dead, Eugene Levy in Sodbusters, and Roger Christian for both Masterminds and Battlefield Earth.
