Adrian Sitaru
Adrian Sitaru, born in 1971, is a notable Romanian filmmaker, producer, and actor. He has created a number of short films, the most prominent being "Valuri" ("Waves"), released in 2007, which has garnered several awards.
Sitaru collaborated with renowned director Costa Gavras on the film "Amen" in 2002. His debut feature film, "Pescuit sportiv," showcases his dual role as both the director and screenwriter. This film gained recognition at various film festivals, including those in Toronto, Palm Springs, and Estoril, and it was also featured in the main competition at the 2009 Premiers Plans Festival held in Angers, France.
In 2010, Sitaru's short film "Colivia" ("The Cage") achieved significant acclaim, winning the DAAD Short Film Award during the 60th Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale).
