2 titles Acting Aug 10, 1964 Vega Alta, Puerto Rico

Juan Rivera is a distinguished professional wrestler who has made significant contributions to the sport. He first emerged in the World Wrestling Council (WWC), where he captured the prestigious WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship. His career gained momentum in the mid-to-late 1990s when he joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), initially competing under the ring name Kwang before transitioning to Savio Vega. As Savio Vega, he rose to prominence as the leader of the Puerto Rican faction, Los Boricuas.

During his time in the WWF, Vega became known for his intense rivalries, notably giving both Stone Cold Steve Austin and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson their first singles defeats in the organization. He famously became the initial recipient of the Stone Cold Stunner during a heated feud with Austin. Throughout his WWF tenure, he achieved victories over several renowned wrestlers, such as Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Jeff Jarrett, Bradshaw, and Yokozuna.

After his WWF stint, Rivera returned to Puerto Rico and took on a significant role in Victor Quiñones' International Wrestling Association (IWA), where he served as a long-time General Manager and secured five championships, including the IWA Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship. In 2011, he participated in a groundbreaking interpromotional storyline between IWA and WWC. Rivera also competed in various Latin American promotions, winning titles in Panama, the Dominican Republic, and Ecuador. Additionally, he has contributed to the wrestling community as a trainer and road agent for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and Ring Ka King.
