Fennie Yuen Kit-Ying (Chinese: 袁潔瑩), a prominent actress from Hong Kong, was born in 1970. Her career kicked off in 1985 when she was serendipitously discovered by filmmaker Raymond Wong Pak-Ming during a heated argument with her boyfriend. At just under 16 years old, she joined Cinema City & Films Co., quickly making a name for herself. During her early career, Yuen formed the "Happy Girls" group alongside fellow actresses Loletta Lee Lai-Chun, May Lo Mei-Wei, and Charine Chan Ka-Ling, gaining recognition for their roles in the popular Happy Ghost series.

In the early 1990s, Yuen showcased her talent in numerous Wuxia films, including The Swordsman and Tai Chi Master, where she garnered acclaim for her portrayals of strong, heroic characters. In 1991, she transitioned to television by signing a per-drama contract with TVB, further expanding her acting repertoire. Although she briefly ventured into music, releasing two solo albums, her career faced a setback in 1994 when she struggled with anorexia, leading to a hiatus.

After leaving TVB in 2002, Yuen shifted her focus away from acting, making occasional appearances at events and working as a product spokesperson. Today, she dedicates her time to volunteer work, embracing a quieter life away from the spotlight.
