Clementina Guadarrama
Clementina Guadarrama, born in Iguala, Guerrero, is the eldest of five siblings and has always possessed a passion for theater that defied her family's expectations. Her love for the stage was ignited by Mexican actor Esvón Gamaliel, whose performance in "Una tal Raymunda" captivated her during her youth in Acapulco.
At just 22, with a child to care for, Clementina made the bold decision to relocate to Toluca to pursue her dream of acting at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México. This institution nurtured her passion for theater, helping her confront her shyness, but it also exposed her to the harsh realities of discrimination based on her background and indigenous features.
Undeterred, she took matters into her own hands, writing and directing her own plays to carve a path for herself in the industry. Throughout her career, she has appeared in various television series on Channel 11, including notable roles in "La Malinche" and portraying iconic figures such as Selena, Juan Gabriel, and Julio Cesar Chavez.
Clementina gained significant recognition with her co-starring role in the film "Cría Puercos." This opportunity paved the way for her to join the cast of "Roma," a critically acclaimed film directed by Alfonso Cuarón, after a rigorous audition process. Today, she continues to inspire future generations through her resilience and artistic contributions.
