Molly Ringwald
Molly Kathleen Ringwald, born on February 18, 1968, is a multifaceted American actress, singer, dancer, and author. Her journey in entertainment began with a significant role as Molly in the NBC sitcom The Facts of Life (1979–80), a casting decision inspired by her captivating performance as an orphan in the musical Annie. However, she and other original cast members were released when the show underwent reformatting.
Ringwald made her film debut as Miranda in the independent movie Tempest (1982), a performance that garnered her a Golden Globe nomination for New Star of the Year. She became a defining figure of teen cinema through her collaborations with director John Hughes, starring in iconic films such as Sixteen Candles (1984), The Breakfast Club (1985), and Pretty in Pink (1986).
