Elliott Hasler

Elliott Hasler has emerged as one of the UK's most promising young film directors, making headlines for his remarkable achievements at a very young age. At just 16, he completed his debut feature film, 'Charlie's Letters', after an impressive three-year production process. The film premiered at prestigious events such as the Edinburgh and Brighton Festivals, garnering critical praise and earning the title of a "miracle" from reviewers. Graham Fuller from Culture Trip even predicted that Hasler could be "the next Spielberg."

Building on the success of his first feature, Hasler continued to explore his creative vision through a series of engaging short films. One standout project is 'To Hunt a Tiger', which features actor John Locke (known for his roles in 'Darkest Hour' and 'The Favourite'). This short was filmed in Sri Lanka, paying homage to Sir David Lean’s iconic 'The Bridge on the River Kwai'. It also boasts an original score by acclaimed Emmy Award-winning composer, Daniel Clive McCallum, and had its premiere at Soneva Jani, the top-rated resort in the Maldives.

Currently, Hasler is in production for his sophomore feature, 'Vindication Swim', which tells the inspiring story of the first English woman to swim across the English Channel. With his artistic vision and dedication, Hasler is certainly a filmmaker to watch in the coming years.
