Lloyd Everitt

Lloyd Everitt, the youngest actor to portray Othello at the esteemed Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, has made significant strides in the realm of acting. In 2017, he received a nomination for Best Newcomer at the British National Television Awards for his captivating performance as 'Jez' in BBC1's long-running medical drama, Casualty. That same year, he was recognized as a rising star on Tony Hall's and Idris Elba's Hot Emerging Talent list. His career further blossomed when he collaborated with Academy Award winner Anna Paquin in the 2019 American television series, Flack.

Born in Cardiff to a Jamaican mother, Pauline Everitt, and a Welsh father, Haydn Everitt, Lloyd pursued his passion for performing arts at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. He launched his professional journey at the Donmar Warehouse under the guidance of renowned director Michael Grandage.

Lloyd's dedication to his craft led him to grace some of the most prestigious stages in Britain, including The National Theatre, The Old Vic, and the Gielgud Theatre in the West End. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with luminaries such as Vanessa Redgrave, Felicity Jones, James Earl Jones, Tim Piggott-Smith, and Mark Rylance.

His exceptional talent was recognized during a performance of Perseverance Drive at the Bush Theatre, where a BBC casting director was impressed enough to create the role of 'Jez' specifically for him, solidifying his status as a notable figure in British television.
