Sal Viviano
Sal Viviano, born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, is the youngest of five siblings to Santina (Cossa) and Salvatore Viviano. He completed his education at Schaumburg High School in Illinois before pursuing a degree at Eastern Illinois University. Viviano's artistic journey began in Chicago, where he immersed himself in commercials and theater, ultimately making his Broadway debut in 1984 with the production of THE THREE MUSKETEERS.
His remarkable theatrical career has seen him shine on Broadway in acclaimed productions such as ROMANCE / ROMANCE, CITY OF ANGELS, FALSETTOS, THE LIFE, and THE FULL MONTY. Additionally, he has performed Off-Broadway in notable works including BEAU JEST, CATHER COUNTY, WEIRD ROMANCE, CATCH ME IF I FALL, BROADWAY JUKEBOX, and HAMLET, THE OPERA, among others. In 1998, his outstanding performance in SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE earned him a nomination for the prestigious Helen Hayes Award.
Beyond the stage, Viviano collaborated with director John Fasano, starring in the genre films Black Roses (1988) and The Jitters (1989). He has also lent his vocal talents to over two dozen recordings, showcasing both theatrical and classic standard songs. Sal Viviano shares his life with actress Liz Larsen, further enriching their artistic partnership.
