Keith Lionel Urban, born on October 26, 1967, in New Zealand, is a celebrated Australian country music artist renowned for his talents as a singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Urban’s journey in music commenced in Australia during his youth, leading to the release of his debut self-titled album in 1991, which featured four singles that charted in Australia. In 1992, he ventured to the United States, initially finding his footing as a session guitarist before forming the band The Ranch. This group recorded an album under Capitol Records, achieving two singles on the Billboard country charts.

Urban made his solo breakthrough in the U.S. in 1999 with the self-titled album, which was certified platinum and featured his first American Number One hit, "But for the Grace of God."
