Stelio Candelli, born on March 28, 1931, in Trieste, Italy, grew up in a household where both parents served as state employees. Following his early education, he pursued his passion for acting at the Academy of Dramatic Arts between 1954 and 1957. Candelli made his film debut in 1957, starring alongside Raf Vallone in "Gwendolyn."

Throughout the 1960s, he carved out a niche for himself in the genres of Euro-westerns and spy films, often credited under the name Stanley Kent. Notable films from his prolific career include "The Last Tomahawk" (1965), "Blood at Sundown" (1967), and "Drummer of Vengeance" and "Viva Django!" both released in 1971. He also starred in "Trinity and Sartana are Coming" (1972), contributing to a total of nine Euro-westerns. In addition to his film work, Candelli appeared in various television films and series, including a notable stint on the BBC series "Vengeance" after relocating to England in 1996.

His theatrical endeavors began in 1960 with a production of a Goldoni play, and he showcased his talents on stage alongside Lydia Alfonsi during the 1974-1976 seasons. Candelli's final film role came in 1990 with “Mean Tricks,” marking the end of a diverse and impactful career in acting.
