Originally hailing from Buenos Aires, Argentina, he spent his formative years in Miami, Florida, where he completed his education at Miami Beach Senior High in 1995. His musical journey began in 1994 when he took on the role of vocalist and guitarist for the surf-punk ensemble Garlands Room. In 1996, he released his debut album under the moniker The Hermitt. His passion for music continued to flourish, culminating in the 2003 album titled & The Story of the Insects, where he showcased his versatility by playing nearly all the instruments.
