His musical journey began in 1994 when he took on the role of vocalist and guitarist for the surf-punk ensemble Garlands Room. In 1996, he released his debut album under the moniker The Hermitt. His passion for music continued to flourish, culminating in the 2003 album titled & The Story of the Insects, where he showcased his versatility by playing nearly all the instruments.
