Mick Walter
Mick Walter, born Michael E. Walter in 1955, is a versatile English actor, musician, and puppeteer, widely recognized by his nickname, Big Mick. He gained prominence in television comedies, making his mark as Jack Large in the beloved series *Blackadder*. His distinctive talent has also graced shows like *Black Books*, *Green Wing*, *Toast of London*, and *Psychoville*.
Walter's impressive body of work extends to the BBC's adaptations of C.S. Lewis’s *The Chronicles of Narnia*, where he portrayed memorable characters: the dwarf of the White Witch in *The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe* (1988), Trumpkin in *Prince Caspian* (1989), and a role in *The Silver Chair* (1990). He also made waves in the sci-fi series *Lexx*, where he played the flamboyant character of Titania. His film credits include roles in *Dazzle* (1999) as Bodkin, *Pets* (1999) as Mick, and *The Last Leprechaun* (1998) as Finn Regan McCool. In April 2006, he had a cameo in the ITV soap *Emmerdale*, and in 2007, he portrayed Raglin, a troll, in *The Magic Door*.
In 2010, Walter showcased his theatrical talents in a pantomime at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford, taking on the role of one of the Seven Dwarves in *Snow White*. Standing at 1.19 meters (3 ft 11 in), Walter's unique stature has contributed to his memorable performances. Prior to his acting career, he was the drummer for the Huddersfield-based band Wild Oates.
