Olympe Bradna
Olympe Bradna (August 12, 1920 – November 5, 2012) was a distinguished French dancer and actress who spent a significant portion of her life in the United States. Born into a family of renowned bareback riders, Olympe took to the stage at a remarkably young age, performing with her parents by the time she was just 18 months old. By the age of eight, she was already making a name for herself as a talented acrobatic dancer in a French production of *Hit the Deck*.
Her illustrious career saw her gracing the stages of the prestigious Folies Bergère, and she performed in key cities around the world, including Stockholm and New York City. Olympe began her film career in France, eventually relocating to Hollywood, where she achieved significant acclaim. Throughout her career, she shared the screen with prominent stars such as Ronald Reagan, George Raft, and Gary Cooper.
In May 1941, Olympe married Douglas Woods Wilhoit, and shortly thereafter, she stepped back from acting. The couple settled in Stockton, California, and later moved to Lodi, where they raised four children and welcomed five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Their enduring partnership lasted over seventy years, with Douglas passing away in February 2012, just months before Olympe's own death.
