Maarja Mitt-Pichen

Maarja Mitt-Pichen, born on December 8, 1983, is a prominent Estonian actress known for her dynamic performances and contributions to the performing arts. She completed her secondary education at Hugo Treffner High School in 2002, subsequently pursuing studies in Scandinavian languages and culture at the University of Tartu until 2004. Her passion for acting led her to the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater, where she earned her bachelor's degree in 2008. Continuing her education, she obtained a master's degree in performing arts and voice pedagogy in 2014 and is currently working towards her doctorate at the same institution.

Mitt-Pichen's professional journey began at the Vanemuine Theater, where she showcased her talent as a drama actress from 2008 to 2013. After her tenure there, she transitioned to freelance work, allowing her to explore diverse roles in the theater and beyond. In addition to her acting career, she has made significant contributions to education; from 2014 to 2018, she served as a voice technique instructor at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater. Moreover, she has been teaching stage speech and acting at the Georg Ots Tallinn Music School since 2014, shaping the next generation of performers.
