Chara, a multifaceted talent from Japan, has made her mark as a singer, actress, and video jockey since her debut in 1991 with the single "Heaven." She gained widespread recognition for her poignant song "Swallowtail Butterfly (Ai no Uta)," which served as the theme for Shunji Iwai's acclaimed 1996 film *Swallowtail Butterfly*, where she also played a significant role.
