Yoshihiro Asai
Yoshihiro Asai, widely recognized by his ring name Último Dragón (ウルティモ・ドラゴン, Urutimo Doragon), is a celebrated Japanese professional wrestler and actor. Born in Japan, Asai honed his wrestling skills domestically before immersing himself in the vibrant world of lucha libre in Mexico, where he developed a distinctive style that set him apart in the wrestling community. He is particularly renowned for introducing the innovative "Asai Moonsault."
On October 11, 1996, Asai achieved a significant milestone by winning the J-Crown, which unified eight prestigious titles from various international wrestling promotions. At that time, he was already the reigning NWA World Middleweight Champion, and he further solidified his legacy by capturing the WCW Cruiserweight Championship. This remarkable achievement made him one of the most decorated wrestlers in the sport's history. Notably, from December 29, 1996, to January 4, 1997, he made history by holding ten titles simultaneously—a record that remains unbroken.
From 2013 to 2019, Asai competed predominantly as a freelancer for All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW). In 2019, he transitioned to Dragon Gate, where he serves as both a senior advisor and an active wrestler, continuing to contribute to the wrestling industry while inspiring future generations of athletes.
