Vala Kristín Eiríkssdóttir is a multifaceted talent in the Icelandic entertainment industry, recognized as a writer, producer, and lead actress in the popular TV series "Ordinary People," which debuted its first season in 2018. Currently, the show has completed four seasons, with a fifth on the horizon. Produced by Glassriver and aired on Sjónvarp Símans, "Ordinary People" has garnered critical acclaim, earning three nominations for Best Fiction Series at the Eddan – Icelandic Film and TV Awards. Vala herself was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her captivating performance in the show's third season.
In addition to her work on "Ordinary People," Vala co-wrote the sketch comedy series "Þær Tvær" (translated as "Those Two"), which aired for two seasons on Channel 2 during 2015-2016, showcasing her versatility as she and her co-star portrayed all the characters.
