Jonathan E. Steinberg is an accomplished American television producer, screenwriter, and director, known for his innovative contributions to the small screen. He gained significant recognition as the co-creator of the CBS series Jericho, which aired from September 20, 2006, to March 25, 2008. In this role, he served as a writer, producer, and executive story editor, helping to shape the show's narrative and garner a dedicated fanbase.
In 2010, Steinberg expanded his portfolio with the development of Human Target for Fox, a series inspired by the DC Comics title. He took on the roles of writer, executive producer, and showrunner during its inaugural season, before handing over showrunning duties to Matt Miller for the second season while remaining an executive producer.
Steinberg's notable achievements continued with the launch of Black Sails on Starz in January 2014, where he served as co-creator, executive producer, and showrunner.
