María José de Pablo Fernández, widely known as Cote de Pablo, was born on November 12, 1979, in Santiago, Chile. She is a talented actress and singer recognized predominantly for her portrayal of Ziva David on the hit CBS series NCIS.

At the age of 10, de Pablo relocated to the United States, where she began honing her acting skills. By 15, she gained early exposure to the entertainment industry as a co-host for the Latin American talk show Control, working alongside Carlos Ponce, a former host of Entertainment Tonight. She later attended Carnegie Mellon University, where she pursued a degree in music and theatre, further refining her craft.

In 2005, de Pablo landed her breakthrough role as Ziva David on NCIS, a character that would define her career.
