Johnathan Randall Hennigan, widely recognized by his ring personas John Morrison and Johnny Nitro, is a prominent American professional wrestler. He gained initial fame as a contestant on Tough Enough III, a reality show that offered a WWE contract to its winner. Hennigan emerged victorious and subsequently joined WWE's developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where he honed his wrestling skills. In OVW, he teamed with Joey Mercury, and together they clinched the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship, forming the stable MNM alongside their manager, Melina.

In April 2005, Hennigan and Mercury made their WWE debut on the SmackDown! roster, quickly capturing the WWE Tag Team Championship. However, after their reign concluded in May 2006, tensions arose, leading to Hennigan and Melina turning on Mercury. They transitioned to the Raw brand, where Hennigan shifted his focus to singles competition, winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship twice.

In June 2007, he was drafted to the ECW brand, where he secured the vacant ECW World Championship, marking his first world title win. Throughout his career, Hennigan has headlined multiple pay-per-views and formed a successful alliance with The Miz, winning both the WWE and World Tag Team Championships. After their split in April 2009, Hennigan returned to SmackDown, capturing the Intercontinental Championship for a third time in September 2009. Following his departure from WWE in November 2011, he continued his wrestling career on the independent circuit and internationally.
