Cipe Lincovsky

Cecilia "Cipe" Lincovsky (September 21, 1929 – August 31, 2015) was a celebrated Argentine actress known for her dynamic contributions to the performing arts. Her career began in 1953 when she made her stage debut, showcasing her talent and passion for acting. In 1960, Lincovsky became a member of the Berliner Ensemble, where she honed her craft further and gained international recognition.

Throughout her career, Lincovsky spent significant time abroad, particularly in Venezuela and France, largely due to the political turmoil in Argentina, including threats from the Argentine Anticommunist Alliance. After years away, she returned to Argentina in the 1980s via Spain, where she became involved with the Argentine Open Theatre, a movement that sought to revive and innovate the theatrical landscape of her homeland.

Her remarkable talent earned her the prestigious Silver Condor Award for Best Actress in 1990, solidifying her status in the Argentine film and theater community. Cipe Lincovsky passed away in her native Buenos Aires on August 31, 2015, at the age of 85, leaving behind a legacy of artistic excellence and a profound impact on the world of drama.
