Born and raised in Minneapolis, she showcased her versatility in over 20 stage productions during her formative years, taking on roles such as Winnie the Pooh, Maria in West Side Story, and Elaine in Arsenic and Old Lace. After completing her college education, she initially pursued a career in sales but soon traded her corporate attire for the vibrant life of a musician, performing in a rock band. This period included valuable experience as a session vocalist at Prince's famed Paisley Park Studios, where she also appeared in one of his music videos.

Relocating to Austin, Texas, she returned to acting with a leading role in the indie film "The Krone Experiment" and lent her voice to video games like "Starlancer" and "Conquest: Frontier Wars."

In New York City, Darbi made her stage debut in "Design Your Kitchen" with the Bat Theater Company and contributed to the development of AR Gurney's "Mrs. Farnsworth." She has appeared on "All My Children," contributed to NBC's "House Smarts," and voiced characters in multiple commercials and shows. A graduate of The Esper Studio, Darbi now focuses on voiceover work, notably as Withered Chica in "Five Nights at Freddy's: Custom Nights."
