Heidy Purga
Heidy Purga, born on March 18, 1975, is a prominent Estonian figure known for her multifaceted career as a radio and television presenter, director, journalist, and politician. She has served as a member of the XIII and XIV Riigikogu, Estonia's national legislature.
On April 17, 2023, Purga was appointed Minister of Culture in the third cabinet of Kaja Kallas, marking a significant milestone in her political journey.
Her academic background includes studying theatre direction at Tallinn University from 1994 to 1996, followed by a degree in electronic media from Concordia International University Estonia in 2002. Purga has built a diverse career in media, serving as a presenter, producer, and editor across various radio and television platforms.
