Dez Cadena, born on June 2, 1961, is a prominent figure in the American punk rock scene, celebrated for his work as both a singer and guitarist. From 1980 to 1983, he made his mark as the third vocalist and later as the rhythm guitarist for the influential hardcore punk band Black Flag. His contributions during this formative period helped shape the sound and ethos of the genre.

In addition to his tenure with Black Flag, Cadena joined the legendary band Misfits in 2001, where he played guitar until 2015. His entry into Misfits coincided with their 25th Anniversary Tour, a significant milestone for the group. Collaborating with notable members such as Doyle, Jerry Only, and Robo, Cadena brought his distinctive style to the iconic band's performances.
