Kris Rey
Kris Rey, born Kristin Williams on November 11, 1980, is a multifaceted American filmmaker, actress, and businesswoman. With a passion for storytelling, she has made significant contributions to the film industry both behind and in front of the camera. Rey's directorial portfolio includes a variety of works such as the short documentary Bathwater (2006) and the Nerve.com documentary web series Boys and Girls. She has also helmed feature films like It Was Great, But I Was Ready to Come Home (2009), Empire Builder (2012), Unexpected (2015), and I Used to Go Here (2020).
In addition to her directorial achievements, Rey has showcased her acting talent in several films, most notably in the critically acclaimed First Man (2018). From 2007 to 2019, she was married to fellow filmmaker Joe Swanberg, with whom she collaborated on numerous projects.
