Thurl Ravenscroft
Thurl Arthur Ravenscroft (February 6, 1914 – May 22, 2005) was an iconic American voice actor and bass singer, best remembered for his deep, resonant voice that brought to life beloved characters in animation and advertising. Most notably, he served as the voice of Tony the Tiger, the animated mascot for Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, for an impressive span of over fifty years. Ravenscroft's distinctive vocal talents also shone in the realm of holiday classics; he was the uncredited singer of the memorable song "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" from the beloved 1966 television adaptation of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
