Ayesha Antoine is a talented English actress renowned for her memorable roles in popular television dramas. She gained acclaim for her portrayal of Rachel Baptiste in the long-running medical series Holby City, as well as for her character Poppy Silver in the beloved children's show Grange Hill.

Born in Essex, England, Antoine boasts a diverse heritage that includes English, Dominican, and Welsh roots. She pursued her education at the University of Manchester, where she studied Psychology and English, graduating in 1998. Following her studies, she returned to London to embark on her acting career. Antoine's television debut came in the 1990s with her role as Poppy Silver, marking the beginning of a fruitful career that also included her first appearance in Holby City.

Throughout her career, she has made guest appearances in various series, including a notable role as Dee Dee Blasco in the Doctor Who episode "Midnight" in 2008, which she described as an exhilarating experience.
