Roberto Cobo, originally named Roberto Garcia Romero, was born on February 20, 1930, in General Zuazua, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He made a significant mark in the film industry, especially known for his roles in notable films such as "Los olvidados" (1950), "Subida al cielo" (1952), and "Dulces compañías" (1996).
Cobo's life took a dramatic turn during the devastating Mexico City earthquake in 1985, which caused the collapse of his apartment. While he was fortunate enough to be rescued, the incident left him with severe injuries, including significant damage to his hip, necessitating the use of a staff for mobility afterward.
Throughout his career, Cobo was celebrated for his contributions to cinema, showcasing his talent and versatility as an actor. He continued to work in the industry until his passing on August 2, 2002, in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico.
