Ann Marie Horan is a celebrated Irish actress best known for her role in the TG4 drama "Ros na Rún," a series she graced from 2007 until 2020. Born in Galway and raised in the vibrant Eyre Square, Ann Marie is the daughter of an actor associated with An Taibhdhearc, which sparked her passion for performance at an early age. She made her stage debut at just six years old and later pursued her education in French and Spanish at the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG). During her time at university, she actively participated in DramSoc, honing her craft.

After graduating at the age of 19, Horan ventured to Lille, France, where she managed a small theatre while gaining valuable work experience. She returned to Ireland to further her studies, completing a master's degree through a part-time program at the Dublin Theatre School. Horan's diverse talents also led her to work as a singer in County Clare and secure voice-over roles with RTÉ Radio.

Horan's journey in "Ros na Rún" began with the 1992 RTÉ pilot, where she portrayed the radio personality Caitríona, later returning to play Helen Byrne in the series' early seasons. Her most notable role came when she stepped into the shoes of Frances Uí Dhíreáin in 2007, a character she portrayed until her exit in 2020. In a recent interview, she shared her love for Galway, citing "The Atlantic" as her favorite aspect, while humorously noting "the drizzly rain" as her least favorite.
