Patsy Smart

Patsy Smart (14 August 1918 – 6 February 1996) was a distinguished English actress, celebrated primarily for her role as Miss Roberts in the acclaimed 1970s ITV drama series *Upstairs, Downstairs*.

Her extensive television repertoire showcased her versatility, with appearances in iconic series such as *Danger Man*, *The Avengers*, *Doctor Who* (specifically in the episode "The Talons of Weng-Chiang"), and *Blake's 7*. She also left her mark on shows like *The Sweeney*, *Minder*, *Rentaghost*, and *Casualty*, among others. In her later career, Smart became known for her endearing portrayals of eccentric elderly women, particularly her memorable roles as Mrs. Sibley and Miss Dingle in *Terry and June*. Additionally, she featured as the gardener's wife in the Miss Marple episode "The Moving Finger," starring Joan Hickson.
