Issa López

Issa López is a talented Mexican filmmaker, recognized for her impactful contributions as a director, writer, and producer. She has penned twelve Spanish-language feature films, four of which she has directed herself. Her literary prowess earned her the prestigious National Novel Award in 2007, awarded by Mexico's Institute of Fine Arts and Literature.

López gained international acclaim with the release of her 2017 film, *Tigers Are Not Afraid* (*Vuelven*), which debuted at Austin's Fantastic Fest.
