Philip R. Garrett
Philip R. Garrett serves as the Head of Production and Development at Good Deed Entertainment, along with its genre-specific label, Cranked Up Films. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with multiple production companies, including Genre Labs, Elevate Pictures, Arbor Avenue Films, Mosquito Entertainment, and ZapruderFlix. His diverse portfolio encompasses a wide array of genres, from horror and science fiction to action, realistic dramas, and documentaries.
Garrett's innovative approach has led to the creation of experimental and documentary shorts that have been exhibited in various prestigious galleries and venues across the United States and internationally, including locations in Iceland, Portugal, Germany, Ireland, and Greece. A highlight of his career came in 2021 when he shared the Best Screenplay award at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival with fellow writer Brian R. Hauser for their adaptation of Lovecraft’s "The Haunter of the Dark."
He earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in theatre from The Ohio State University, where he concentrated on Integrated Media, Video, Directing, and New Works. His academic journey culminated in the immersive theater project and film, "All Things Shining," showcasing his commitment to pushing the boundaries of storytelling in the performing arts.
