Rene Michelle Aranda, also known as Ren Aranda, is a highly acclaimed American actress and international producer, celebrated for her diverse contributions to the entertainment industry. Her journey began at the young age of 13 when she discovered her passion for acting through a theater class at Robert O. Townsend Junior High School. Graduating from Ruben S. Ayala High School in 2009, she amassed numerous accolades from the drama department, including two consecutive "Most Inspirational" awards and the inaugural 'Lifetime Achievement Award,' created in her honor. Aranda also founded the Thespian Arts Theatre Festival during her senior year, which continues to thrive and has inspired talent showcases across the campus.
After high school, Aranda relocated to Los Angeles to pursue an intensive three-year program at The LACC Theatre Academy, an institution boasting alumni like Morgan Freeman and Mark Hamill. Her talent shone brightly, earning her national recognition with the “Outstanding Performance by an Actress” Award at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in February 2012 for her daring portrayal of "Willie The Space Freak" in a gender-bent adaptation of Sam Shepard’s "The Unseen Hand." This role notably included her shaving her head, earning her a feature in BuzzFeed's "17 Trail-Blazing Bald Beauties In Hollywood."
In 2014, Aranda solidified her presence in the industry by producing five feature films for Plus Entertainment and Cinelatino, leading to significant partnerships that propelled her acting career. She established her production company, Starpark Studios, in 2008, transitioning to an LLC in 2013. Her work has reached audiences through major platforms, including Lifetime, Netflix, and Amazon, showcasing her versatility and dedication to her craft.
