Howard Fletcher Frier, born on March 31, 1976, is a former professional basketball player who represented both the United States and Estonia during his athletic career. Frier began his collegiate journey with the Colorado Buffaloes, where he concluded his senior year with averages of 4.5 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.

Following his graduation, he ventured into the professional circuit, spending two seasons with the Rochester Skeeters in the International Basketball Association (IBA). His career then took him overseas, where he briefly played for Wardich Rosaire in Lebanon and the Fargo-Moorhead Beez in the IBA.

Frier's European journey gained momentum in Austria, where he dedicated three seasons to Oberwaltersdorf. In 2004, he joined the Estonian powerhouse BC Kalev/Cramo, quickly becoming a key player and standout performer. His pivotal contributions during the KML finals were instrumental in leading Kalev to its inaugural Estonian League title, earning him the season MVP award as he averaged 13.9 points and 3 rebounds in the playoffs. He continued with Kalev for the 2005-2006 season, helping the team secure a second consecutive championship with averages of 12.9 points and 4.1 rebounds during the playoffs.

Frier's career also included stints in Sweden with Ockelbo BBK and a brief return to Poland before heading back to Estonia. In 2009, he made a quick appearance for Tampereen Pyrintö in Finland before signing with Górnik Wałbrzych. Beyond his sports career, Frier portrayed George Jackson in the 2022 Estonian film "Kalev," showcasing his talents beyond the basketball court.
