Ivan Rassimov
Ivan Rassimov (7 May 1938 – 14 March 2003) was a notable Italian actor of Serbian descent, renowned for his compelling performances in horror and exploitation cinema. Born in Trieste to Serbian parents, Rassimov embarked on his acting career with his film debut in 1964, quickly establishing himself in the genre.
Throughout his career, Rassimov became synonymous with sinister characters, often portraying villains that left a lasting impression on audiences. He garnered acclaim for his roles in several influential films, including Mario Bava's cult classic *Planet of the Vampires* (1965). His versatility also shone through in Sergio Martino's psychological thriller *Your Vice Is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key* (1972), and in Umberto Lenzi's adventure film *Man from Deep River* (1972). Rassimov further solidified his status in the industry with Ruggero Deodato's controversial *Jungle Holocaust* (1977), which showcased his ability to navigate intense and challenging material.
