Kellie Waymire
Kellie Suzanne Waymire (July 27, 1967 - November 13, 2003) was a talented American actress, known for her impactful performances on stage, television, and in film. Born in Columbus, Ohio, she was raised in a family that included her parents, Jack and Vickie, and her siblings, Tony and Rebecca. The Waymire family moved frequently, residing in various cities such as Lake Tahoe, Nevada; Denver, Colorado; Tampa, Florida; and ultimately Houston, Texas. It was in Houston that Kellie developed her passion for acting, taking on the role of president of her high school drama club at Lamar High School.
After graduating, she pursued her artistic ambitions at Southern Methodist University, where she not only earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater but also received the prestigious Greer Garson Award for her talent. She further honed her skills by obtaining a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, San Diego in 1993.
Waymire gained prominence through her memorable roles in the acclaimed HBO series Six Feet Under, where she showcased her dramatic range, and in the iconic sci-fi series Star Trek: Enterprise, contributing to her status as a respected actress in the industry. Her contributions to the performing arts were cut short by her untimely death in 2003, but her work continues to resonate with audiences today.
